Tak toto píše YODA - duchovní otec modelu. Bohužel jsem tomu moc neporozuměl.
While on a flight from Orcas Island to Chelan this weekend, I experienced a CABIN ALT warning. I follow the checklists, but to be sure, I checked the engine bleeds were on. They were. Nothing I did would clear the indication, except descending to below 12,000 feet.
Several users have reported problems with Cabin Alt warnings, and we've had a number of interesting discussions about hypoxia and how fast it can render a pilot unconscious...and nearly always, the reason folks have experienced this is because they switched the bleeds to INSTR & ENVIR OFF, or forgot to turn them on altogether.
This is different. The engine bleeds were definitely on.
Here's what I did, and what you should avoid doing: I switched to the King Air from within the previous aircraft's VC.
It didn't matter that the previous aircraft was another Aeroworx King Air, with a different livery.
Folks, it's very important to switch into the King Air while in the 2D panel view. There are systems and functions which don't get initialized unless you're in the 2D panel. This is why the startup situation puts you into the 2D panel of the default Cessna.
Don't switch aircraft in the VC or in spot view. |
